Our Junior B side suffered a defeat away to Arklow Gers/ Ballymoney on Thurday last. This was a hard fought game which proved to be a losing first half on a score line of 1:09 to 0:05. The spirited fight back ensued from the off in the second half with our side out scoring them 2:07 to 0:07 but they fought back hard to finish on top with the score 2:12 to 1:16 at the finish. Scorers Josh Graham 0:07, John Sayer 1:02, Robert Byrne 1:01, Robert Doyle 0:01, Bryan Murphy 0:01. Next game v Avondale tomorrow (Thurs) evening. See fixtures for time.
Rathnew 1-3 Blessington 2-7.  
Our Junior A’s suffered their second defeat of the campagain away to Blessington on saturday evening last.  This was a game where blessinton were in control for most of the the game with our lads only getting a grip in the final quarter.  The expierence of Barry o’Donavan and Gus Daly gave Blesso the edge in the middle and they were moving well in attack.  For the village John & James Manley tried hard in defernce with Josh Graham, John Sayer & Jody Merrigan all showing well in the last fifteen.  Team & Scoreres: James Hollingsworth, Eric Doyle, David jameson, James Manley, John Manley, Marty O’Connor, Paul Ronan, Stewart Murphy, Ross O’Brien, Josh Graham (0-1), Jody Merrigan(0-1), Dylan Franey, Jamie O’Connor, John Sayer (0-2), Ross Quinn, sub Timmy O Donavan. Next game v An Tochar at home this Friday at 7:15pm.

Rathnew 1:15 v Donard/ Glen 0:04
Our seniors continued there winning ways in the league on Friday 4th May over Donard. Scorers were Ed (Turkey) Doyle0:01, James Stafford 0:01, Jodie Merrigan0:06, Tommy Gill 0:04, Richard Kavanagh0:03 and Eddie Doyle 1:00.

We had our presentation night on Saturday May 5th last. This was a great night for the lads with plenty of awards being handed out to deserving players. There was a great turn out and we just want to thank everyone for showing your support for the lads. A great night was had by all.

We send best wishes for a speedy recovery to Ann Mitchel after her short stay in hospital, get well soon.
