Dunlavin Club Notes

By on May 21, 2012

On the Field our Junior team were in action on Thursday evening vs Blessington which we won well in the end after a very slow start, we won on a score of 2.17 to 4 points, all roads lead to Baltinglass this Thursday evening where the lads will take on the home team for what looks like the Division 4 west league decider, we hope to get plenty of support for the lads on the night,

Our Intermediates had a week off but have been training hard and with a challenge on Monday vs Tullow Pat  will have the lads in good form going in to their next round of league matches.

Well done to the Dunlavin/St Nicholas Lads who played a huge part in the Wicklow Minor team this year, unfortunately they were defeated by WestMeath on Saturday in the Leinster Quarter Final, they were by far the better team in overall play but the finishing let them down in the end on a score of 10 points to 7, Well done Darragh Figgis,Daniel Dawson,Barry Miley,Alan O Sullivan and Andrew Howard.

We would also like to wish Darragh Figgis a speedy recovery from his injury sustained while on Duty with the County Minors, we are looking forward to him getting back between the posts for Dunlavin.

Our young hurlers were in action with a Go Games blitz at the weekend in Blessington. Our players did very well and displayed some great skills on the day despite the harsh weather. Well done to all.
