Dunlavin GAA Club Notes

By on June 18, 2012

Our Footballers played in the Ciaran Jones memorial match in Kilbride on Saturday evening teaming up with Kilbride they took on Blessington which Blessington won by 5 points,it was a very good contest and closely fought game with Blessington pulling away in the last few minutes, well done to the organisers in Kilbride and thank you very much for your kind hospitality on the day and we look forward to hopefully doing it again next year.

On Sunday our field day took place on the village green in tandem with the Dunlavin Arts festival, the weather was beautiful for what was a very successful occasion, great fun was had by all, young and old, with all sorts of wild and whacky events taking place from strength testing to target practice, wheel of fortune to milking Daisy! And the strangest of all was “Chicken S#@t Bingo” taking centre stage! It was great to see so many smiley faces around for what was a huge success for the club and community. A big Thank you to everyone who helped out on the day.

Training continues to take place in the football field on Tuesday & Friday evenings at 7.45pm for both adult teams and new players are always more than welcome to join up with the club.
