Don't miss

Rathnew GAA Club Notes

By on July 2, 2012
Our under 16s took on Fergal Og in Bray on Wednesday 20th. Great show of commitment and heart to come back from a seven point deficit to win by a point well done to the lads and all involved.
Well done to the under 12s on there win over Avoca on Monday evening last. This was a great game of football with our lads coming out on top on a score line of 7:07 to 4:08. Team was Sean Byrne, Cian Byrne, Nathan Byrne, Ciaran Coffey, Sean Coffey, Teejay Russell, Shane Cullinan, Cian Flynn, Tristan O Toole, Nickey Kearney, Owen Doyle.

Our u14 played out a fantastic game in Merrymeeting last night against a big Aughrim team Derry Gales. We run out losing by a late-late goal but what a game. From Goalkeeper to corner forward all played fantastic. Our team’s technical skill is as good as anyone in the division. Players to do well are the two Byrnes who are going from strength. The Devlin Boys, Cian hunter who had his best game this year. The Bird Man who never lets us down on the field. Charlie and Mike Riley, and Michael Doyle gave it 100% but on the night it was agreed the man of the match was John Haden. Well done and remember we need you all up training.

Congratulations to Harry and the County team on defeating Waterford in Aughrim on Saturday last. The fitness of the lads showed when they pulled ahead with a goal and 3 unanswerable points in extra time. We look forward to the county team taking on Leitrim in two weeks.
