Well done to Katie Taylor on winning Gold at the Olympics a fantastic sports woman who has done Bray, Wicklow & Ireland very proud we were represented at the final of Katie’s fight by our chairman Michael Sargent who traveled over.Our Seniors played Kiltegan in their last group game on Saturday last and drew 1-11 each hopefully it was enough to take us through to the quarter finals,the last group matches are next weekend so we await results. Our Junior C Team will play Kilcoole on Thursday next at 7.30pm in Roundwood best of luck lads. Our Club lotto will take place Tuesday in Mick Reids with Jackpot at €7600,if you haven’t got your tickets in don’t expect to win your support is needed and much appreciated.Birthday wishes last week to Kevin & Craig Hanlon on their 21st ,John McEnroy & Shauna Fiztsimons. Thanks to all the stewards and club people who helped out at the Senior Championship match in the pitch on Friday last.Reminder club physio in the pitch every Wednesday from 8 to 9pm €5 per player.Well done to Jessica and all her crew who hosted the ladies semi finals on Saturday and the U14 blitz on Sunday in the pitch. Best of luck to all our members who will receive their Leaving Cert results on Wednesday 15th. The club sends congrats to Will Hamilton and Orla Mc Williams on their wedding at the weekend.

Juvenile Notes

Hard luck to our two U14 teams beaten in their first round of champ both by AGB we wish Jordan Mc Garr a speedy recovery as he sustained a Knee injury in one of the games. Our Minors will play St Nicholas on Mon 13th Aug at 7.30pm in Dunlavin in first round of the Minor A Champ. Our U16′s will commence their U16 A champ on Wed 15th at 7.15pm playing Baltinglass in Blessington. Our U12 will play AGB on Mnday 13th at home at 7.15pm. Best wishes to all our club lads playing with their development squads on Sat 18th, U15 are in Cavan while U16 are in Portlaoise.On Wednesday 22nd August the Leinster GAA Roadshow will be in Blessington GAA Grounds from 10.30am to 2pm where all teams in Hurling & football will have a specific slot more details to follow.
