Casey O’Brien has led Wicklow to their first Christy Ring Semi-Final in our History after Bosco O’Neill scored a goal in the dying seconds from an impossible angle to secure a 1 point victory over Meath.
Wicklow started well with a goal in the first 30 seconds, but a balanced half left both sides even at the break, 2-06 to 1-09.
Meath were then reduced to 14 at the start of the second half as both teams cancelled each other out until the royal County managed to squeeze ahead by 2 points.
However, in the final moments of the match, Bosco O’Neill produced an incredible strike to leave Wicklow looking forward to a Semi Final date against Kerry.
nother fine day for Casey and his Hurlers. Wicklow GAA Online would like to congratulate them on their performance and wish the the best against the Kingdom.
