Blessington Club Notes

Wow, what a weekend for Wicklow. Well done to Wicklow Seniors on promotion to Div 3 especially our Club lads, Anthony & Michael Mc Loughlin & Barry Murphy. Well done to Wicklow Minors in The First Round of Leinster Champ who beat Laois 2-5 to 1-6 especially our own lads Thomas Donohoe,Mikey O Connor,Kyle Geraghty,Ian Richardson & Their Kilbride Colleague Daragh Ryan. Our Seniors drew with Donard/The Glen in Div 1 and play Tinahely next Sun at home at 11.30am. Our Junior A had a great start to Div 3 with a win over Laragh,they play Newcastle next Sat away at 4pm. Our Jun C play Lacken in Blesso Thurs at 7.15pm in Div 4. Our Senior Ladies play Kilbride in Intermediate League on Wed at 7pm in Blesso.The tickets are available for the Development Draw @ €50 3 monthly draws 4th May, 8th June & 6th July the prizes for each draw 1st €10,000, 2nd €5000, 3rd €2500 4th €1500,5th €1000,6th to 20th €150 each. Tickets available from all committee or contact Michael Sargent, the Club gets funds based on what they sell so we ask you all for your support as we use this as one of our main fundraisers.Club lotto jackpot was not won on Tues 10th April 3 people matched 3 numbers Gary Kilmartin,Western Gaels Junior c/o Ciaran Murphy & Anna Hubbard c/o Ann Moran each got €100. Next draw 24th April Jackpot is €6000 so get you tickets quickly. Well done to Joe Broderick who will travel to Feile for a 2nd year in a row but this time as a Hurler with Michael Dwyers,well done to all involved especially Joe Broderick. Birthday wishes this week to John Magee Jnr,Paddy Brophy,Dylan Clowe and Christy Sargent who was 93 years old on Saturday last. The Club sends best wishes to Tony Mc Loughlin Snr who was unwell at the weekend we hope to see him out and about soon and in Croke Park on 28th.
