Wicklow produced a strong second half performance against All Ireland Champions Dublin in Éire Óg Greystones tonight but they were unable to overcome a large half time deficit in this Senior Football Challenge match. Both teams gave opportunities to their panel with Austin O’Malley at full forward for Wicklow, Conor McGraynor at centre forward and Jason Bolger at centre back. Joey Kelly and Adam Merryman were also given starts as Harry Murphy experimented a little.
At half time Wicklow trailed 1-13 to 0-5 but a spirited second half seen them rally with the game finishing a respectable 1-18 to 1-13 to Dublin.
