County Football League Div 4 North
Ashford maintained their 100% record in this division with they won the penultimate game of the competition. Ashford defeated An Tochar in Roundwood by 3-8 to 1-4 after leading by 1-5 to 0-2 at half time. Ashford now play Bray Emmets in the final game in Ashford on Thursday 31st May at 7;30pm. Gavin Connolly and Pat McDermott have performed very well with limited resources. The Management and team deserve support, make sure you are there to cheer the team over the finishing line. Finishing on top of this division will mean automatic qualification to an all county league semi final. Gavin and Pat were forced to make many changes for the An Tochar game, however it was the club’s top scorer Adrian Marah who produced the goods with 2-2 and wins the Man of the Match Award. Other scorers were Aaron Nugent 1-2, Graham Mooney 0-2, Cian Taylor 0-1, Gary Lee Scalon 0-1.
Other players to perform well were Iarla O’Donnell, Darragh Rooney and David Dowling in defence while Paddy Shannon and Conor Dowling played well up front.

Bereavement
Ashford GAA Club would like to express their deepest sympathy to the Creavin Family of Timmore, Newcastle and formerly of Ashford on the death of Martin; he will be sadly missed by his wife Maria, daughters Brigid, Anne, Josephine and Clare, sons John, Thomas, Martin, Brendan, Robert and David. Martin Junior played with Ashford in the 90s Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
