Both adult teams were in action over the past week, firstly our Junior team were defeated by Baltinglass in the Division 4 west league on Thursday evening, this was a very tight closely fought game right to the final whistle with baltinglass coming out on top on a scoreline of 2.08 to 9 points, then Saturday evening in Balinacor our Intermediate team were defeated by the home side on a scoreline of 1.17 to 2.04 in the Division 2 league, we never left the starting blocks at all here and let Balinacor build up a significant lead in the first half which was always going to be tough to catch, although Dunlavin dominated much of the second half their finishing let them down whereas the home side proved very accurate in front of the posts. No doubt Dunlavin will come out hungrier for the next match and make amends for a disappointing week on the football field.
Training continues to take place in the football field on Tuesday & Friday evenings at 7.45pm for both adult teams and new players are always more than welcome to join up with the club.
