The build up, the hype the banter and anticipation is nearly over and following months of waiting Wicklow and Carlow will finally clash for the right to battle with Westmeath in the Quarter Final of the Leinster Championship. League wins and O’Byrne Shield wins will count for nothing come May 16th finally arrives. Talk of transfers here and there will be forgotten because for 70 minutes on Sunday the Blue and Gold of Wicklow will do battle with the many colours of Carlow (too many to mention) and pride will be prize.
